Mickels Gård Christmas Market

Experience Christmas at the Mickels Gård farm, dating back to 1730. Uno’s Vita hus opens its doors in the spirit of an old-fashioned Christmas. Children can write their wish list and give it to an elf to take to Santa, the elf makes his visit between 12-3 pm. Adults can buy beautifully wrapped Christmas gifts. The Åland Lucia makes a visit at 4 pm.
Våffelrakan serves savory potato waffels with tasty fillings between 11 am – 7 pm.

There are two Christmas markets in the Mariehamn market square: Saturday 3 December and Tuesday 6 December.
On Saturday we will have visitors on stage:

Santa Claus pays a visit on Saturday to gather wish lists from the children. Santa will be happy to take pictures with you!

Handicraft market in Zeipels

Four days on 3 – 6 December. Ålands Slöjd & Konsthantverk (Association of Arts and Crafts in the Aland Islands) organises a Christmas market for quality products at the Zeipels shopping centre.
This is an excellent opportunity to purchase uniqe christmas gifts made in Åland.
Hamnboden

Traditional Christmas market where you will find a variety of artisan dishes, knitwear, crocheted products, sheep skins, wreaths, sweets, ceramics, wooden crafts and art.
An array of Åland delicacies, cheeses, meat, sausages, marmalade, sea buckthorn products, bread, honey, apple mulled wine, jams, cakes, spices and chili products
Sottunga Christmas Market
- 12 noon to 3.30 p.m
- Town Hall, Sottunga town centre
The Sottunga Christmas market offers local food, crafts and art to admire and for purchase. There will also be food and drink to consume on site, as well as the annual Christmas goat raffle.
A ferry departs from Långnäs on the Åland mainland at 10:30 am and arrives at the port of Sottunga at 11:40 am. The ferry leaves Sottunga at 4:05 pm to return to Långnäs. Advanced booking is recommended, especially if you are travelling by car.
Christmas at Valborg

Christmas market at Valborg organised by the Lemland Youth Association. Sale of home baked treats, handicrafts and Christmas wreaths. The youth association will serve porridge and ham sandwiches as well as glögg and gingerbread.
Santa has announced he is coming and children have the opportunity to leave their wish list for him. Santa will be on site 11-12 and 14-15.
Pony rides 12-14.

Johannas Hembakta

Johannas Hembakta is a small, authentic stone oven bakery and café in Grelsby. Here, sourdough bread is baked from local, organic flour from Överängs Kvarn, as well as buns and cakes made with genuine ingredients and a lot of passion.
For Christmas, holiday-inspired bread and buns have been baked and the café serves Santa Claus porridge with ham sandwiches made from the traditional wheat bread (hemvete).
Christmas crafts with the artisans at smakbyn

At Mia Englund’s ceramic studio and at Ålands Karamelleriet you can make this years most beautiful Christmas crafts as a gift for loved ones or why not as a Christmas present for yourself.
In the ceramics workshop you can make your own dishes or Christmas tree decorations in ceramics. At Åland’s Karamelleriet, you have the opportunity to make your own Christmas lollipops (remember to make an extra one for Santa!), or why not create your own sweet Christmas tree ornaments and enjoy the taste after Christmas is over.
Remember to make a reservation and treat yourself to Smakbyn’s traditional Christmas table, which is served from 3 pm.

Ceramics: 2 pm dishes and 4 pm tree ornaments.

In the Amalia’s Limonadfabrik rural shop, you can purchase all the products made in the factory.
Their products include the Swedish julmust drink, mulled wine and soft drinks. fine and tasty chocolate products from Mercedes Chocolaterie and home-baked buns and bread from Johanna’s Hembakta. Put the products on the Christmas table or give away as a gift!
If you want you can stay for a warm cup of mulled wine, a coffee and fika in their cozy café.
Åland by Henna travel agency offers horseback riding
